I have just had time to lok at some of the comments on the show.I agree with most folk that the show was good—some of the signing could be better, but one can find your way about !!!. BUT, am I the only one who finds the lack of a cloakroom a real pain ? If you come from a distance, somewhere to park your hat and coat and or briefcase makes life so much more comfortable.
The kind help of the Editor, in person, helped me out but a show at what is supposed to be a prestige exhibition centre should have a facility for leaving ones outdoor clobber. Can we have one next time please ?

          Hi Geoffrey,
I could not agree more, I have been trying to persuade the “powers that be” that such facilities should be re-instated. Some of you may remember that a cloakroom was provided at the Sandown show in the days before HMS took over.
As one might imagine race going Members, in the Grandstands, would not put up with a lack of a cloakroom, so why should we?

The cloakroom was at Sandown, far end against the SMEE stand.
It just wasn’t manned so next year if some enterprising soul wants to buy a book of tickets and stand there for 3 days charging 50 p or a pound it should pay

              Hi John,
Well, I used the SMEE stand as my cloakroom but then I was on the stand., I knew there was a reason for paying my yearly subs.
The grandstand cloakroom used to be in the ticket hall, where a very helpful lady would take care of your outdoor kit.
Your idea does have some merit, perhaps a raffle could be run at the same time with one of your name badges as a prize. Thanks again for mine, by the way.
