I have to dispose of a large number of back issues of Model Engineer from a deceased friend's workshop. There are about 30 complete volumes between 81 to 204, and about 55 part- and almost-complete volumes from 80 to 220. The condition is mostly good.

There are also some older engineering books:
      General Engineering Workshop Practice (Odhams)
Engineering Mechanisms for Designers and Inventors (Industrial Press 1944 reprint)
Newnes Complete Engineer vs. 1 and 2
Arithmetic, Drawing, Measuring Instruments, Lathe Work, Chilled Iron (ICS Reference Library 7A)
Engineering Workshop Practice vs. 2 and 3 (Caxton)

The complete collection is available for a donation of £100 to Tools for Self Reliance. It would need to be collected from Southampton (it would need an estate car or small van). It must be taken as a lot – no pic-and-mix!

It would be a shame to put them in the recycling bin. If you want a more detailed breakdown of what is available , PM me and I will send a spreadsheet, although it will not contain details of individual issues, only volume numbers.

As soon as you put a gap in the run by parting with one volume you halve the usefulness of the remainder. I avoided saying value there as that is debateable, except to a garage trader who would claim the effort of picking them up is more than the tenner he would offer you. The best thing is usually to offer them to local Model Engineering clubs, followed by Men's Sheds, Model Railway clubs, Scouts.

I have a large number of copies of Model Engineer, NOT all continuous, dating back as far as 1943, upto the 2000s,.

            Some are bound.

Anyone who is interested in collecting some or or all should send me a PM with an E mail address, and I'll compile a list.

            Location is Peterborough, UK.
