ME 4757 – Gauge ‘3’ LSWR T3

Just to set the record straight, the ‘Highly Commended’ LSWR T3 shown on the Gauge ‘3’ Society’s stand at the Midlands Model Engineering Show was built (and painted) by G3S Member (and our current Newsletter Editor) Nick Baines. As can be seen from the model, Nick is a very skilled modeller and a much better loco ‘painter’ than I will ever be…  🙁

I don’t know ‘Terence Woodward’ (who is credited with the loco on Page 736), although I’m sure he’s a nice chap who probably showed something equally nice at the MME – but it certainly wasn’t this particular Gauge ‘3’ model.

I was on the G3S stand on Saturday and had an enjoyable day meeting visitors to our stand.

The bacon baps were very good too!
