      @chrish

      I know this is not strictly a MEW query, but I followed a link from the ‘flip-up toolholder’ thread to the MadModder website. Thought I would join and have received the activation link but the MadModder website now has a message saying

      An Error Has Occurred!
      Sorry Guest, you are banned from using this forum!

      Pill spammer

      Anyone had this problem before? How do you bin it? How can you contact the website to say this message is on the opening page?

      Regards, ChrisH

          “Please note, we have installed an anti-spam bot. If your IP or email comes back positive from an anti-spam database, you will be denied an account. If you have been denied and believe it is a mistake (It happens… who had your IP before??) please send me an email at: info@madmodder.net

          PS to return the favour maybe you could comment in the current Northumbrian thread about how far you have got.

                Each time you log on to your internet provider, you will be given a different IP.

                To have a constant IP you usually have to pay a monthly fee because it gives you a business advantage.

                So if a site tells your IP to get lost, log out of your connection and then log in again.

                  ady,

                  That’s an interesting fact – I didn’t know that. The MadModder website had binned me because the IP address was last used by someone spamming Viagra type pills. I will remember your advice should it ever happen again!

                  Thanks for that,

                  Jason,

                  Sorry, I overlooked your request before but I think you may have me down for someone else – I’m not doing the Northumbrian!

                  Regards.
                  Chris
