My best time for delivery was from a remote part of NZ for some radio parts from Japan. Order by telegram (before the days of internet)on Monday afternoon, goods arrived two days later by regular post, with an apology for the delay, it would have been faster if I had use Telex (Idon't think so! unless they chartered a special flight). Just seen this. I own macc models and I’m sorry of people are having problems.

I don’t ignore emails, but I must admit I find I don’t have time to sit next to the phone waiting for it to ring!

Im trying my best here guys and I’m sorry if it’s not good enough. I can assure you that about 90% of customers get orders next day or within the week.

When I first started this company you were lucky if you got delivery within 3 weeks! Iit seems people these days want everything yesterday.

Also I would like to thank the people that have defended me on this thread, as people very rarely write about positive experience, but ALWAYS about bad ones.

Hi Joe, All businesses have a small proportion of difficult customers who they're better off without. As you can see from the responses here most of use have realistic expectations when dealing with a small niche business and delays are expected and accepted. I for one shall be happy to order from you again in the future.

Another happy customer, every order was literally delivered within days, and, cut some lengths to required size and charged accordingly without any delay in delivery.

I placed few orders to macc models and I always received the material but I must admit it takes longer than other shops for the delivery (UK-Sweden).

Unfortunately when I decide to order something it is always at the very last minute and it means I am eager to have it immediately (read: my half beloved accepted the deal or it is just the right moment to do it…).

In conclusion, my experience is positive but sometime frustrating because I had just to wait few weeks without much infos and lots of miles to walk forth and back to check the post box.

Just sat reading the above and it would appear that in my case i was the exception and unluckily recieved the bad service,I still stand by my comments. Peter Shaw has commented about supply line problems,well having run my own business i accept that you do get the occasion when a supplier lets you down thats why i had at least 2 and given any problems i would always let my customers know.

Nice to see also a response from Joe at Macc models,pity he ignored my cries at the time about my order taking so long,and yes he did ignore my emails.

Deltic007 is over-reacting. Macc Models is not a "mob" as he refers to them. I'm surprised this has not been moderated out of the post.

Macc is a one man business, he will probably be happy to not have to deal with Deltic007 again.

He has plenty of satisfied customers.

I too have never had problems with Macc although only ever ordered very small quantities

BUT why do people always assume that just because they press SEND that the email gets to its intended, Not true they go missing all of the time

I supply spare parts and we always followup with a phone call to check that the email arrived and then follow that with a confirmation and ask that they confirm receipt of the quote, you cannot assume rightly or wrongly that just because you sent the email that it got there

hoping that this actually gets to the forum!

I have found over the years that Joe's service is second to none, some times with next day delivery. There's always an email confirmation that the order has been received, process or sent, so if you don't get any of these messages there may be a chance that he hasn't received your order.

I placed an order with Macc Models on Tuesday around lunch time….Realising the Bank Holiday was looming, I emailed Joe and asked if the order could be out the door that day or Wednesday….

Got an email confirmation yesterday ( Wednesday ) that the order had been filled…Arrived this morning around 10-50 am…..

Service? Cant get better than that…
