M E Jubilee clock wiring.

Evening. Just wondering if there was anyone that could help a mechanical engineer with connecting up the wiring for the M E Jubilee clock by John Wilding?

I have almost completed the assembly of the clock and the electro magnetic coils but electrical wiring is not my favorite subject !!

Are you asking for advice or a physical presence. If the latter then you need to give some idea of your location, at least the town.

Hi. Advise would be fine in the form of a wiring diagram. There is one in Wildings build booklet but some elaboration of it would be useful.

I don't have the booklet just the articles in ME from 1962. This replaced the Westbury design of current going through the pendulum to independent contacts above the count wheel.
The wiring is then very simple. The coils are in series with each other, the contacts are in series with the coils and the power supply or battery. You need to adjust the contact position so that the pulse is at the right time and as short as possible consistent with making it keep going.
A lamp in parallel with the coils ( or instead of) during set up might help you see when contact is being made.
It is common to put a diode across a coil to suppress the spark when it is de-energised but as you are not electrically savvy you might just get it the wrog way round and instantly destroy it. A resistor of a few hundred ohms can be used instead (as used on synchronomes)..
