LOCTITE 638 – Butane

Can anyone tell me whether or not Loctite 638 retainer is affected by butane in the liquid or gaseous state? Thanks.

I'm inclined to agree with John

… When [pre-Henkel] I dealt with Loctite in Hemel Hempstead; their technical chaps were always very helpful.

It shows 'no data available' for propane and acrylic [which is roughly what cured 638 becomes]

Not a Loctite, but this stuff does the job.

You might get asked why you want it though. Butane used as a solvent to strengthen Cannabis is much in the news lately. Lots of accidental bangs!
