South Cheshire Model Engineering Society will be hosting this years Little Lec efficiency competition on the 25th and 26th June at their Peacock Track: the track is on the B5338 just off the A51 Nantwich bypass round about behind the Peacock Hotel, the event will start at 10AM, the club will be providing light refreshments and all spectators will be welcome.
The competition is for locomotives with a dry weight of less than 50lbs this year we have 13 entries with 5" 31/2" and 21/2" gauges being represented in the competition.
We had a great weekend the weather was relatively kind to us, the people we met were wonderful, and things went smoothly.
The competition was won by Les Pritchard with his 3 1/2"g Monoa, Second was Peter Langridge with his 3 1/2"g Rob Roy, and Third was Bill Roebuck with his 3 1/2"g Monoa.
And Roger Paulson won the Golden Spike with his 3 1/2"g Rob Roy for the best presented Locomotive .
I'll be submitting a full report for the magazine but in the mean time her's a few photos as a taster:
