Do we have troublesome Pine Martens in the UK?
Maybe not – yet.
But Lidl is a German company and there does appear to be problem with them in Germany, where they are known as “marder”. They are know to cause a lot of damage to motorhomes and caravans in storage, with the German motorhome magazines carrying adverts for specialist products to deter them, as well as companies specialising in repairing the damage they cause (whcih can include gnawing on the vehicle wiring).

I understand they lost part of a Panzer division at Stalingrad due to animal damage to wiring insulation – I read it was mice, but you never know.
But I probably shouldn’t be mentioning it … >:-o
