        Hello,

I am interested in obtaining a complete set of the build articles LBSC wrote for ME between 1942 and 1946. My understanding is that they run from volume 87 to 94.

Can anyone recommend the best way to obtain these articles, were they turned into a book at any point?

I have seen a few listings for large collection of old MEM issues however these are all "across the pond" I am located in Massachusetts, MA and from what I can tell these old issues are quite obscure here in the states.

Any advice or help is greatly apprecaited.

        Thanks, Frank.

I would suggest if you use this Index to ME magazines you will be able to pin down more precisely which issues of ME were involved : **LINK** just put lbsc petrolea into the search box. They don't appear in any date or numerical order.

I had a quick look and it came up with vols 89 to 94, 1943 to 1946.

Sorry I don't have any issues involved, my wartime collection is a bit sparse.

I did know someone in Australia who had back volumes of ME supplied by Tee Publishing,- http://www.teepublishing.co.uk/ – and the carriage wasn't too onerous.

You will probably need to buy the volumes, which are a bit rarer than usual because resources were a bit stretched at that time. (Some sort of European issue which required resolving)

Sorry I was not clear with my original post (typing too fast without looking). I am located in Massachusetts, USA. Hopefully I can locate a lot to purchase at one time, I think buying individual issues would be extremely tedious and time consuming to track down.

Its too bad these old issues are not available online, scanned into an archive (like Popular Mechanics) for everyone to see in the future. I hate to think of all the lost knowledge and neat workshop projects that future model engineers will never know existed.

Frank, I sold a batch of old ME magazines including these a couple of years ago to the Engineers Emporium.

It could be worth an email.
