I have recently purchased a LBSC Pamela from a club member. However I do not have the articles or drawings. The previous owner had the drawings but is mvoing and can't find them. If he finds them he said he would give them to me.

Does anyone know where to find a set of drawings for this engine or where I could get a copy of the articles? I know which issues of ME that they were in but I am in Canada and my club does not have an archive of ME. I only need them for reference to remake parts as I use this engine.

          Hi There

          MyHobbyStore would do the plans.

TEE publishing might do the book of drawings and words.

          regards David

Believe the plans from MHS are reference LO 73 and the articleswere in M E Vols 102 – 104 . Hope this info helps.

            Regards,

            Trevor.

thank you both for the help. I've contacted MHS about the drawings and articles as they are not advertised on the website. I'll update this post when I hear back from them.

MHS says they can't help until January. Guess I'll have to hope the guy that sold me the locomotive finds the drawings.

                  James,

If you need a digital copy of a specific article from 1 issue of ME, I can do that for you. If you look on this splendid index **LINK** just put "pamela" in the search box, you can probably identify which part of the loco was in which issue.

As there were over 20 parts, it would be an unacceptable task to do them all at once.

                  Phil

PS.  Is that a wooden pike doing a nosedive onto the dome of your loco?

Yes, that would be a wooden pike in the background. It was on my office wall before moving to my current house. My wife won't allow me to add it to my current office in our house.

I realise I put that rather badly, I didn't mean just one article in total, rather one at a time with a time between.

However have had a further thought, and will PM you with it.

Hello. I too have the loco Pamela. It is rather old and I will have to renew the axleboxes. Does anyone know where castings for this Loco can be bought. I can't see it on the Reeves website. I ask just in case I break a wheel when removing it from the axle.

                        Many thanks

                            John Hilton,

Pamela shares a lot of parts with LBSC's Doris design. This includes cylinders, hornblocks, etc. The finished diameter of the wheels is 1/8" difference between the two engines. Pamela's being 4-5/8" and Doris' being 4-1/2" to the tread with the flanges being an additional 1/8" for both. If you contacted Reeves I am sure they could tell you if the Doris wheel castings have enough extra material to make them fit Pamela.

Hi – Since Doris is mentioned I would very much like to acquire a set of drawings for her. I do have the LBSC article, just seeking the drawings. Very pleased to hear from anyone that could help.
