      Looking at the latest "lathes and more" article ME 4587 p766 fig.15 may leave the beginner wondering where they can obtain a milling cutter for use when the direction of rotation is reversed.

      It should show the direction of feed reversed not the rotation of the cutter.

          Probably based on a horizontal mill where the cutter can be mounted either way round, the keyway in the cutter is a big give away.

            Looks to me as if the fig. Is showing the feed direction as a constant but the rotation is fp reversed. It shows the principal quite well. Horizontal, end mill or in the lathe climb milling is still the same.
