      Hi There

Check the Model Engineer Subscription page out.

Click on the subscription link to see the great free gift I have arranged for UK paper copy subscribers.

It is a 0 to 25mm digital depth gauge, a quality metal probe one, not a cheap plastic tyre tread gauge.

If you don't want to subscribe (why not) you can buy the gift from Allendale http://www.machine-dro.co.uk for just over £20.

Tell me what you think of this gift?

Is it the sort of thing you would like in your workshop?

      regards David

Even nicer if your loyal multi-year subscribers got one as a thank-you.

Couldn't agree more – having subscribed to ME for decades I've never succeeded in claiming one of these free gifts despite adding a request when returning my renewal form.; I get the impression these offers only apply to new subscribers.

                    Hi There

Anyone who wishes to renew their subscription can get the gift.

However, you have to buy a new subscription (it can continue where the old one left off) but you have to decide if the increased price compared with your renewal price is cost effective.

                    regards David

                      Nice clarification, thanks David.

On balance, I'm best sticking with my Direct Debit.

                      … Others may decide differently.

Cant resist the boast – 50 years subscribing this month!!

1st issue purchased, I think, about 2nd/3rd week June 1962 (still @ school), had a photo of a traction engine rally somewhere in the Midlands. It was weekly and about 1s3d (just 6p!)

                            Hi Jason

You could renew now and get this gift.

It would just extend your subscription from the end.

                            regards David
