Late delivery of magazines due to adverse weather

Well, I just got the bonus one for ME 4394 here in hot and humid Auckland NZ. So I will pass the extra one on to a mate who does not subscribe.  They seem to be turning up pretty well as one wold expect, this one and the one on Christmas eve are probably a few days behind the average, but that is reasonable for the time of year.  Anyway the airmail sub is better than relying on the local importers, who never used to be any good.

4394 finally arrived yesterday, but still no 4393. And no answer to the email I sent to the subscriptions address in the front of the mag – will try and phone somebody tomorrow.

Was it customer services you emailed?

Or was it modelengineer@subscription.co.uk?

 

Normally magazines are recycled by the subscription people after 3 months.

I have asked for 4393 and MEW 172 to be returned to MyHobbyStore after the 3 months.

This means ME 4393 should have 240 copies available for any missing deliveries.

This includes the back numbers quantity so we should be ok for the small number that have gone missing unless we send out issues to people who still might receive them.

Replacement MEW 171 and ME 4393 arrived today 6 days after action by  CDS Global. Pity it was not Issue 172 as awaited.

No sign of my subscription copy of MEW 172 here in Dundee. I emailed customer services yesterday (no reply as yet ), but was that the best email address to use?

I expect there is a delay answering email as the subscription company deals with subscriptions for may companies.

I am also waiting for ME 4394 to arrive in North Hampshire. Suppose heavy rain will be blamed for its late, or non arrival. Funny how none of the bills and junk mail get affected though

I will be doing a missing issues request over the weekend.

 

I can’t see how 4394 was delayed in the snow. I thought the snow was over when it was posted.

could be because the extra we pay for first class Royal Mail

pays for the deliberate delay of the second class service

to ensure the first class mail arrives first

MEW 172 hadn’t arrived by 4 Jan so I phoned My Hobby Store.  No fuss or argument, they promised a replacement straightaway.  Arrived earlier this week.  Happy with that.

I see that, according to this morning’s newspaper, mail posted in Somerset before Christmas has just been delivered to West Sussex. Wonderful, isn’t it? Whatever would Roland Hill or Ralph Allen made of it?
