        Hi All,

I looked into these a while ago and was immediately put off by the staggering prices of even quite small output machines, in the thousands of £.

now I see on P interest they are available for under £50!

I guess it must be a scam but does anyone know much about thes things as on the face of it they could be the answer to my tool cleaning prayers!

one place is Frederick store or similar.

        cheers, Martin

Scam. Laser cleaners listed on eBay are many thousands of Pounds. If it sounds too good to be true, it is too good to be true.

I get the same thing on FaceBook. Working model Harley Davidson engines advertised for $30. Phenomenal. But on eBay the same model engines are listed at $800.

          Caveat emptor.

            Thanks Hopper, as I thought!

Does anyone have any hands on experience of using the real thing?

I see now there are Laser Welders being advertised. Such flawless beads of perfect weld they are laying. Wonder if that is too good to be true too?

                  Hopper,

If you take a look at Cutting Edge Engineering's U Tube videos, Curtis made a trip to a big engineering fair in Adelaide recently and tried his hand at laser welders. They need Argon gas backing to prevent oxidation and with all his first rate experience of other forms of welding, he struggled to master a brief session on the demo test section.

It looks child's play on U Tube videos, as one might expect of course, but it is not as easy as it appears to be

                  Regards Brian

Thanks Brian. Sounds about right! Looked like butter going on in the videos.
