      Great shame.

There used to be one on Lowestoft Prom in the 60's when I was a kid.

Sad to hear of any closing.

There’s an active one in Hastings 10 1/4” (I think) it runs along the front near the old fishing huts, very busy when I was there last year.

The number of users they quote is surprisingly low, compared to some club tracks, which surprised me.

                It's a pity.

I liked the newspaper photo of the main line engine alongside the miniature. You can't tell which engine driver's looking at the other with more envy…

The combination of Southern and Northern Feds effectively list all ME clubs but there are still many non commercial small railways buiilt by enthusiasts who perhaps open for a charity event occasionaly. Then there are some club tracks that have moved around over the years; then again a few clubs that have closed down. On top of that there are dozens of these small commercial operations both current and closed.

Somebody (group of people) with time on their hands unable to go into a cold workshop over the winter could perhaps compile the definitive list.

So sad to read this since I live only a dozen miles from the railway and had many wonderful rides on it as a child. I hope someone buys the track and trains to set up elsewhere so future generations can benefit from it. As if we needed more bad news crying
