Just found a Binks Bullows Hydrovane compressor need help.

I have managed to buy a very cheap compressor at as local auction. It's a Binks Bullows Hydrovane PR303E.

I have tried to google any info and to be honest there's hardly anything out there. It needs rewiring as it was sold as having a lead problem but that shouldn't be much of a problem.

I was hoping for a google link to a manual or a parts diagram but cannot find one.

Does anyone here have this model of compressor. Is it any good for running models.

My dad had a BB compressor when I were a lad….it was a vertical job, no tank…

​Try findmanual.net You will need to have Chrome as default browser to load the manual

​I didn't try it as I keep Chrome for banking access as that supports Rapport protection and that is all I use it for, but try it, they claim the manuals are free.

I have amongst my compressors, a BB PR303E. Bought new many years ago, not supplied with a Manual but I have a price list of parts, GA drawing of machine with parts and also maintenance Instructions.

What Mk is yours?, what do you need to know?

Lowest pressure is 15 psi and max 30/35 psi (not changeable). Spray guns used with it are constant air bleed. A tank is not normally used with it.

A very similar compressor installed within a shroud was supplied as a very quiet air sourse for Dental Drills.

KWIL I'm not sure of what mark mine is but it has the serial number A15833. Just wanted to know if anyone runs their model engines with this compressor. Also where I could get copies of manuals, parts diagrams etc.

I still have one of these (or should say my Dad still has it as he borrowed it some years ago) It was a great little piece of kit if you only needed 30 PSI and no great CFM. I liked it becasue it was quiet and small. It'll work fine with a constant bleed spraygun. Just keep clean oil in it and change the filter, I used to use the cooker hood stuff cut to size.

Looks like the may be some difference in output pressure between variants or year of manufacture. Mine goes up to 45 psi so is capable of inflating most tyres. Which is what it gets used for at the moment. Keep meaning to try it on the coolant mister systems I have on lathe and mill to save running up the big compressor.

The dial on the compressor goes up to 50 psi so 45 psi sounds about right.
