Yes the hard drive is in the computer. The windoze prog you found is the one I’d found, but I didn’t go public as I haven’t confirmed it works. Mainly due to Xmas chaos, I really do hate Xmas, we spend a lot of money on tat which no-one really wants, and we are always disappointed because it wasn’t as good as we hoped. Well I’m not disappointed as I expect it to be dire. Ours was particularly stressful as the oven packed up in the early hours of Xmas day. It got the turkey warm, but didn’t cook it, so the bird got the bird and got put in the bin. Second time this has happened on Xmas day. Bah humbug! Any one who wishes me happy Xmas should be boiled with his own pudding and buried with a stake of holly through his heart (to quote E. Scrooge). Next year bangers and mash. At a pinch I can light a fire in the garden and do that. I’m also demotivated due to having to retune half the pipes. However, thanks for confirming it looks promising.

I thought I was a bad sleeper, posting at 03:45!

That device looks useful if I ever wanted to go on tour and not drag a laptop around with me, but then I’d need a couple of 12v batteries as well.

Duncan, the Windows program seems to have the ability to transpose music so perhaps you could change the source to match the pipes you have.  Alternatively there’s an open source program called MuseScore which can do this.  As a novice piano player I’ve used it to transpose pieces to a key without a key signature, not that it has made them any easier to play!  It can also play the scores so maybe it can output midi?

Ah but only about half the pipes are wrong, in the top half of the scale. If I transpose to suit the top end the bottom end will be wrong, and some of them are fixed length pipes, so not easy to alter
