I have today received a letter from a reader who found an old issue of ME that featured John Heeley's model DeHaviland Goblin jet engine. He and a friend who worked on the design of the Goblin were very impressed. ME Vol 200 No. 4372, 6 June 2008.

He asks if anyone knows the outcome of the model and whether or not it ran? Of necessity it was only expected to idle, given the material used.

I recall the article and it covered some exquisite work.Does anyone know anything more of this model?

              .

I think they were used in the full size Vampire.?

A long standing friend of mine has a very nice 1/4 scale Vampire.

The other model aircraft in the background also belong to him. – He has many large models and a very, very tolerant and understanding wife. wink

Please see the picture of the model in question. Link

Apparently, it's kept well as it was firstly made~
