Ivel Tractor

Hi folks Anyone out there know where I might find plans/drawings or articles about the Ivel Agricultural Motor to give it its correct title, I know someone called Billy Smith from Northumberland built an excellent model but I don't know if he published any plans. Any help much appreciated.

There's this , which is pretty good with some drawings as well as lots of photos – worth £3.99, not sure about £23. Billy Smiths's model made the front cover of ME back in the '80s but the article didn't have a great deal of detail. There is an extant Ivel in the UK here, but I don't know how easy it is to see the tractor – it's a bit far away for me. If you find any detailed drawings of the engine I'd love to see them.

May be worth asking on Smokstak, a search on there brings up about 20 threads with Ivel in, including some photos of a nice one at Onslow Park a couple of years ago.

Rod I've got the book and been to Vallum Farm armed with camera and paper/pencil , hoped I could find detailed engine drawings , it would save a lot of guess work.

Jason I didn't find anything new in smokestack.
