Hi Everyone, I have just signed up to the forum and would like to introduce myself, My name is Matthew and I am a CAD Technician mainly building services but have a very keen interest in engineering. Looking to get a workshop set up, in the process of building my own CNC mill (from my own design). I would love a lathe but have to convince the boss/wife its a good idea. Any advice on low budget but capable machine would be appreciated.

I am sure most people on here are proficient at CAD but would love to offer my services if anyone needs any technical drawings. I am all self taught and can use Fusion 360 as well as Autocad. I have my own business but will do drawings for free for Hobby use and I am sure we can arrange a small fee for any profit producing products.

      Many thanks for your time

      Matt

Welcome Matt. missed your post until just now.

Best advice is –  get a bigger shed, no not what you are thinking, bigger than that. If you can find a club near you or Men’s Shed they may have a workshop or maybe have machines and tools for sale.
