Is there any chance the forum could be printed in black ink on white background to make it easiar to read than present set up, it gives me eyestrain after only a few minutes.Graham

I agree ,the whole thing looks washed out and I would dearly like the old forum back as it loaded fast and had plenty of colour, the very minor problems were editing posts and adding images as far as I could see.

Every time I click to view the forum now there is a “checking security of my connection” message which I don’t see on any of the other forums and then a delay as it loads followed by slow loading of pages. My PC is very high spec with superfast b/band.

I doubt if issues of accessibility have even entered the heads of this site’s “Developers”

But, depending upon which device/operating-system you are using, there may be some self-help available … Here, for example, is what Apple offers on my iPad

          .

In a more enlightened world, [at least some of] these choices would be embedded in the web-page.

P.S. __ I do hope you were not thinking of physically printing the forum pages !!

in many ways the original design of the WWW has been prostituted on the bed of advertising – the original idea was to place the display of the text &c in the hands of the receiver (eg choice of font, colour of text + background) – I kept an old firefox browser alive for many years because I could block pictures, most css derived formatting and see just text for which I could control the size, colour etc of – perfect for me and extremely useable on slow line speeds (I still use it for one purpose of displaying the BBC program schedules within a single page of text – a feature anathema to modern advert driven web designers).

Many of the problems here would not be present if the development of browsers had followed the initial ideas

On my widows 11 PC I enabled ” night light” a few weeks ago, it uses warmer colours and blocks out blue light, there is a slider to suit your preference and you can enable/ disable it in seconds via a right click to the desktop and select display settings

Thank you for the answers i have a 7 year old desktop running win 10 i try to only use it between 9am and 8 pm i have tried moving various sliders and cannot see any different so it looks like i shall only be watching in very small time frames . I agree the forum does seem very slow like going back to win 95 and going to make a cup of tea between aqsking a question and getting a reply. Graham

You tried the night light but it doesn’t make any difference? that’s strange as on mine it goes from glaring white to almost red, I just made a quick Youtube video showing moving the slider on mine
