Please excuse a grammatical and, hopefully, constructive criticism especially if English is not your first language:  well is one of those holes in the ground from which you extract water, oil etc.  Are you looking for the word we’ll?

            Hi Brett,

The science museum is quite good You can see animations of some of the engines in the museum here:

Copy and paste the link.  If you can get to the midlands the Black Country museum in Dudley is worth a visit, it has the oldest rotative steam engine in existence, and it is still working.  There are many other steam and engine museums in London (and elsewhere in the UK) which are worth a visit.

Myhobbystore though is just an online shop I think.  It does not have physical shops, but I may be wrong! Someone will confirm that.  I don’t know of any shops that sell models, castings, tools etc in London but there are a few such as Reeves in the Midlands (check Reeves 2000 on the internet.)  and I am sure there are others around, perhaps other posters can help.  use this link to visit Reeves:

            Enjoy your visit

            Terry

To the best of my knowledge, myhobbystore doesn’t have its own retail outlets at all – it either supplies other companies, or transacts business as an e-tailer.

If you can spare a day then a trip upto Yorkshire for the Harrogate show would be worth the effort, planty of models and most of the traders will be there. It’s the 7-9th May, theharrogateshow
You may also find a few trades close their shops around show times as they take most of their staff & stock to the show so if visiting any phone first to check they will be open

well worth a visit to Harrogate for the show. Lots of good place to eat / stay nearby too.

I’m biased –  I live nearby but trains from London are frequent they drop you centrally ( 1 mile or so to showground) but taxi’s are plentiful .

Also lots of “bargains ” ( ? ) to take home as souveniers?

Jason’s right about traders most of the majors are there and their shops maybe closed- see mags for details.
