      @jasonb

I see in 4430 under the Next Issue details that we will be seeing the return of IC Topics.

The half page waxes lyrical about this splendid engine, ideal for a beginner, designed by an Ex Jaguar Engineer and all nicely drawn in 3D.

What a pity it was spoilt in only the second line by saying it will be a 0.46cc engine. Come on ME sort yourself out its 0.46 Cu.Inchcrook

      J

Ps I could not find any drawing errors on the portable in this issuewink 2

          Hi Jason

Slip of the keyboard, not the author.

It is 0.46 CI, not CC.

          regards David

            Hi Jason

            You are wrong.

Nowhere does it say it was designed by an Ex Jaguar Engineer.

It says the articles are writen by an Ex Jaguar Engineer.

It says the design was by Alex Whittaker.

Glenn Royds prepared the CAD drawings and Frank Payne is taking us through every stage of the build and wrote the articles except for the introduction article which is written by Alex Whittaker.

You must be assuming that Alex Whittaker is the Ex Jaguar Engineer.

Oh dear, you have introduced an error into your post.

            regards David

Does that make it not fit for purpose ?

Perhaps I ought to delete the offending post?

Perhaps not, I will leave it up to show that even the most perfect of us can make mistakes by assumption.

                  Hi There

A typical example of a mistake.

The recent Harrogate show website said that dogs were not allowed on the showground.

It also said no dog owners were allowed into the showground or show.

That meant I could not go as I own a dog.

Even though I had no intention of taking the dog with me, I would have been refused entry as I own a dog.

Was this a mistake? I should have sued the show organiser for discrimination against dog owners?

If you went to the show, John Stevenson, You should not have been allowed in as you own a dog.

                  regards David

Back in the U.K. I could never travel on the London Underground. There was a notice which said the 'Dogs must be carried on the escalators'. I did not own one.

p.s. They used to say 'Nothing acts faster than Anadin'. If I had a headache it would last for a long time so i hate to think what would have happened if I had taken Anadin.

Perhaps they got it right there, many dogs round where I live seem better behaved than their owners.smiley

I would suggest that a 1000ft high molehill could be structurally unstable and therefore unfit for purpose. It may also attract the wrath of the elfins wink 2 ... Shift+R improves the quality of this image. Shift+A improves the quality of all images on this page.

                              Hi Coalburner

                              Not to mention the RSPCA.

Making a mole climb up 1,000 feet, not on!

                              Oh no, 1,000 feet.

Now I have got the English Metric Brigade moaning now.

                              Where's me calculator?

305 metres, phew, nearly caused a riot.

Now that molehile sounds like a mountain.

Might as well upset the greens as well.

                              regards David

Great video and your dog certainly looks a lively one, we're without a dog at present but have had 3 GSDs over the last few decades, good fun.

i would like to point out that if it wasnt for the sharp eyes of jason the portable engine would only be good for bog paper!!

if model engineer had been more sharp eyed the engine should never have gone to press!!
