The HWS site seems to have disappeared over the weekend. Does anyone know if this is a temporary outage or a permanent loss of a great resource?

I’ve not been able to access the site for weeks, all I get is,

          “Forbidden

You don’t have permission to access this source.

Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.”

Just accessed their website without any difficulty using Firefox.

Everything looks normal except for a short obituary.

JA it’s Homeworkshop the free ads site not Home and Workshop the tool dealer.

Seemed to have the error from yesterday.

Just tried HWS again (12.40pm 19/2/24) and all I get is:

                  jtablesession::Store Failed
DB function failed with error number 1062
                  Duplicate entry ’24d950f968aced986872b0311d713ac9′ for key ‘PRIMARY’ SQL=INSERT INTO jos_session ( session_id,time,username,gid,guest,client_id ) VALUES ( ’24d950f968aced986872b0311d713ac9′,’1708346301′,”,’0′,’1′,’0′ )

Similar to the response Macolm got. I think this started happening on Saturday morning because as far as I can recall I accessed it sometime on Friday 16/2/24 and it was up and running with a couple of new adverts for lathe chucks and a linisher from Bede Tools.

No. I got the Home and Workhop of Foots Cray website (https://www.homeandworkshop.co.uk/). It is undated.

If you want I can tell you what their special offers are. They have just received a new batch of NZ machine vices.

The site pings OK, so I guess an internal database error of something similar.
Hopefully it will return given time

The alternative site, homeworkshop.club seems to return the same results.

I can’t access – perhaps the team dealing with the installation of the new MEW website have moved on to assist Homeworkshop!!

It’s asking for a username and password now, I tried mine and it does nothing apart from say it is unauthorised.

Cleared the history on the pc and found I could gain access. Must admit to being a complete computer numpty, my default position is switch of and on or clear the history, if that doesn’t work it’s call my son!. Glad it’s working I need a workshop clearout, SWMBO  wants to move again!
