Morning everyone, this is my first post regarding MD65 lathe.I have had one for 10 years and have found the biggest problem with these lathes is adjusting the carriage, which, if incorrectly adjusted, causes errors with turning parallel over long cuts.
Cleaning the bed, especially underneath with wire wool, allows the carriage to be set accurately.
The same also applies to the tail stock, all the slide need to be carefully adjusted.
Carrying out this simple procedure has helped me sort out most of the problems with this lathe.
