paid £3 for a handful of small items which included a better-than-average quality ratcheting screwdriver handle for 1/4” hex bits.

          Michael,

          ooohh! Nice buy!

Today at Cheddar I was 4 feet away from a chap at a table just as the seller removed a large box from his boot and took out a large complete scratch built steam engine and boiler unit in nice order only for a hand to grab it and say “how much’; seller said £70……

I went away to find a quiet corner to cry in…..

That is the fun, (or not so) of car boot sales.

          cheers, Martin

We need a dedicated car boot thread in here, for the lots of interesting stuff out there

£3 for a Snap-on ratchet screwdriver is a steal. It's the sort of thing that makes going to fleamarkets, bootfairs, autojumbles etc occasionally worthwhile. You cant go with a list of wants and expect to buy any of them.

Don’t you just hope it wasn’t nicked?

                regards Martin
