Hi I am a retired engineer with a largish mancave filled to the brim with machines for making machines or at least that is how it seems. I will at some stage be downsizing and have to let some of it go. For now I have a Colchester Bantam and a chipmaster, I don't need both so thinking of swapping the chipmaster for a Myford Super 7, hopefully with a gearbox but not a deal breaker. The chipmaster has sat unused for a few years and has a coat of light surface rust in places, it comes off easy with wire wool. It has a 3 jaw chuck, dickson toolpost with only one holder, tailstock that I bought in to replace the capstan saddle that is currently fitted so may require alignment. It is three phase but the variator no longer works. a direct belt drive is fitted and works fine, speed change is via the belt and also via the hi/low gear selector in the headstock which works fine. The original suds pump, light etc is also present. No rush to get rid as access to the workshop is currently a sea of mud so will have to wait until around Easter unless the ground freezes. I have a trailer and might be able to help with delivery as long as you can help unload.
I have generally built lots of items from MEW over the years. I have a large collection of MEW magazines from number 1 up until a couple of years ago. These may be for sale at some stage. I look forward to contributing to the forum.
