Hi, my name's Charles and like many, I've used this forum for a long time to glean technical info relating to various projects I might be working on or thinking of working on, so thought about time to join up and post some threads!

Alas, not a spring chicken any more but just got a small lathe…something I've wanted to get for most of my life but never got round to until now.

Interested in bikes, motorised and other and generally anything mechanical.

Welcome Charles, I'm into miniature traction engines myself but there is bound to be someone along later into bikes, there's quite a few folk like that on here.

Greetings from Old Portsmouth, Charles. Most of my engineering these days is at the Gas Engine House museum at Eastney. We're open next Tuesday and Wednesday mornings as part of the Portsmouth 60+ festival, and we're normally open on the last Sunday of the month if you want to drop in for a look round.

Greetings Charles, I am over the hill, living in Widley. I have been a volunteer at Hollycombe for a very long time and since retirement to at least one day a week so I don't spend all my time in the shed on my own.
