Hi to everyone, Im interested in getting to hear about engineers around Nottingham or Leicester. I don't get much chance to meet people who actually make stuff as a hobby.

Welcome to the forum Greg. I'm also from Nottingham and pretty new to model engineering scene as well, just kitted out my new workshop. I've yet to build any models, just making some tools at the moment.

Welcome Greg. I'm nowhere near Nottingham unfortunately!

I don't meet many model engineers in the flesh either. Finding them online is a good substitute; forum advice has saved me a lot of bother several times now!

Hello Greg and welcome. I live up near Junction 28 on the M1 and have been a model engineer for years having built a road roller, railway engine, a couple of stationary engines, a road locomotive etc.

I'm currently building a traction engine in 1 1/2 scale, because I've had to scale back on equipment due to a house move and getting older!

Hi Greg welcome. I live on the north side of Leicester. Started my model engineering last year on retirement. Lifelong engineer so plenty of experience to draw on.
