Help Wanted -V8 builder

Hi!

Im a swedish boatbuilder, but currently teacher in school learning kids woodcrafting!

Im about to start up a project of my own, a Riva Aquarama in scale 1:3-1:4 built after original drawings and sneaked in RC equptment.

I would like to have 2 fully working V8 engines in her in same scale. But since I dont have skills, nore the workshop for this type of work, Im looking for a co-modellmaker who creats the engines for me!

I will pay for materials, cost of running workshop, P&P and some extra.
Full copywright, credits etc for engines.
You make the parts, send it to me, I assemble the engine and mount it in the boat!
They are some complex issuies thou….. contra rotating engines, the shaft and propeller will be variabel, if you dont would be able to make gearbox F-N-R in moderate size for it.

The model will be written about in various magazines, youtube chanel, and will be show on various exhebitions here in sweden!

Instead of contra rotating engines, you could use two similar engines, but one with an Idler in the gearbox so that the props contra rotate.

This was the practice at Rolls Royce Oil Engine Division, and at many other manufacturers. Contra rotating engines can bring problems (I've seen then in full scale!)

On one epic occasion, someone bought two identical engine/gearbox combinations. Unfortunately they were then installed in the same hull. On sea trials, it was so unmanageable that it rammed the harbour wall!

Then you have to decide whether the props should rotate towards the keel, or away from it. (Because of the radial element of the water displaced) Inward would seem to be better, to help get the hull up onto the plane, suspecting that two V8s would be installed in a planing hull, rather than displacement.

If the props are variable you don't need a FNR gearbox.
