I have an idea that a thread like this was about, not long ago, perhaps referring to the combined Lathe / Mill version of this machine (CL500M)

Might be worth searching back?

Also, Chester were still selling a similar machine, the Model B, so that might be s ource of spares.

If you can find one, it might be worth trying measure. Might be worth duplicating one in steel, in the hope of preventing any futire repeat failures.

Chester model B looks like a similar machine, but the automatic feed is built differently.
