hi. I am starting to set up a small home workshop to help with some projects I have got lined up. My first purchase has been a Colchester bantam lathe and looking to have a play with it and get use to using it. Any tips and hints appreciated.

A Bantam is a nice lathe to get started with.

Hi Welcome. A copy of LH Speary's "The Amateurs lathe" would be a good start. Also have a look on YouTube for the machining channels such as mrpete22,Abom79 etc. There is a mass of info on YouTube, just type your question in the search box there. Also a search through this forums topics will help as well. Many answers here. If you cannot find the answer just ask and the good folks here will no doubt help.
