Hi all,
I have been in engineering in the steel industry for all of my career and still find it interesting after 25 years. Although my career has an electrical bias I have a healthy interest in the mechanical side, which nowadays I find much more interesting.
Up until last year I had the use of a friends fully equipped machine shop and loved every minute of being there with him. Sadly at 74 years old he retired and the shop was broken up but I have to say his work was impeccable right up to him finishing .It was a sad day as he still has a lot to give and another little machine shop gone.
I am also a keen self taught woodworker and have a little garage workshop which has turned out a few projects over the years.
In it is quite a bit of woodworking equipment but I now have the chance to supplement this with a Tom senior milling machine which I intend to restore and then use for all the (mostly aluminium) parts I need to pursue my other hobby of astronomy.
I have quite a few questions so any help I will gratefully accept
Damian
