Evening All.
First experience of machine work, early 70s was at Halesowen College, probably a university by now, making a set of rollers for static cycle training, they never did get finished, but the die was cast. Like many others I suspect, other things took priority. So last year I bought a clapped out Myford ML7 (nearly as old as me, 1947) with it came a load of bits most of which I new what to do with, and some I am still scratching my head about. The crucks of the matter now is having made a few bits for friends, I realise it desperately needs a re-grind. Mr Leonard in issue 254 described how he tackled the same problem, but didn't add who he found to do the job. I have approached three companies who have passed me on to some they recommend, who again pass me on. Myford will do the job for £600, I can't afford that.Is there anyone out there that can give me a positive lead to a re-grinder, if you can you have a friend for life.
Thanks in advance. Mac
