I just bought a Myford ML7 with Gearbox that was out of use for many years. I am in the process of disassembling it, cleaning it, replacing some parts that are broken, installing a frequency variator and a command console for the controls. I’ll build this console myself.
Currently I have an Optimum 180X300 lathe ( German company but Chinese production) and am replacing it because I need to have some imperial threds and I believe the ML7 is a very god model.
I register to learn with all you guys, so please be patient with my questions as I am a newbie at this .
Lisbon is a wonderful city, we were there last September, you are so lucky.
Only problem is your beautiful portuguese paving. Great to look at but treacherous when wet!!!!!!
Good luck with your rebuild.

Thanks you very much Geoff!! The paving is indeed slippery when wet! It needs time to get used to it so come on and visit us again, it will be always treacherous but you will have fun again I am sure !!!!
It´s part of our cultural heritage, we love it but it causes accidents some times, but then again it does rain that much here
All the best
