      Hello all!

Professional CNC button presser mainly looking for advice on some older manual machinery!

Been meaning to get my own small lathe and mill for a while now, finally bit the bullet and I have ended up with a Boxford AUD and a Tom Senior light vertical, well, the Tom Senior isn't home yet and will be the reason for my first real post!

Have found my way onto the forum many times over the years after googling various things, so makes sense to join when I have some more specific questions.

Thank you all for the hive on information you have created!

            Hi! and Welcome!

DO join the Cambridge M E club/society. In addition to all the advice that will get on here, you will get some locally, possibly sooner, plus offers of practical help.

Have no axe to grind as not in Cambridge or a member, (just know a couple of members)

            Howard

              Hi Adam,

Welcome to the forum, from a fellow Cantabrigian, well outside of the city itself. I run both CNC (mill) and manual (lathe and mills) machines at home albeit a bit larger than the Boxford and Tom Senior. But of course the principles are the same. thumbs up

              Andrew

Thank you all for the kind welcome!

Really have bitten off more than I can chew regarding making the space for these machines! But slowly getting there, have been busy finishing off boarding/insulating/painting/waterproofing of the shed. Mostly in the freezing cold wind after work in the evenings!

Boxford is currently split down into it's main parts and getting in the way perfectly! Needs to be rebuilt in the corner before hopefully picking up Mr Senior next weekend.
