Hi, I'm Tom, a new member to the forum. I have recently acquired a Myford ML7R and am keen to hear from people about what sort of projects they do on their own lathes. Cheers

Hi Tom welcome to the forum. Where are you based as it helps to suggest local supliers etc. I make tooling and whatever takes my fancy. I have recently made some jewelry bangles, (with my granddaughter) a simple wobbler steam engine, a drill/grinder attachment for the toolpost on the lathe and other bits and pieces.

Hello Tom and welcome. I'm mainly into ancient traction engines but have made radio controlled and static boats, first model was a model ships cannon and then stationary steam engine, a vacuum engine followed by the Marshall Road Roller in 3 inch and then the Fowell-Box engine also in 3 inch.

Then came a succession of pre-war Austin Sevens and currently a Burrell-Boydell Road locomotive in 1 1/2" inch.

There are other projected projects thought about but I need to live until I'm about 300 years to stand a chance of finishing them all, but I'm having fun nevertheless!

            Brian.

                David,

Thanks for getting back to me. I am in Linlithgow in central Scotland. It would be good to know of the suppliers ion my area where one can actually look at things before buying. Buying over the internet is handy but no substitute for getting hands on!!

                Tom
