      Hi everyone I have just joined to help me with my lathe projects I am a full time safe engineer ie opening safes and looking at making my own tools. As a tool can cost upto £1500 and be made for £50. Looking for help and lathe and braising. I sold my old lathe so am looking for a hobby lathe with mill thanks stu

          Hello Stuart and welcome. I don't know if there will be many people with safe experience but you never know!

            thanks brian, its more to do with getting help with making the tools that pick safe locks open as they cost a lot, basic parting off and knurling and soldering etc here are some examples

              Stuart, one assumes that the safes you are opening are for the legal owners? Sorry For that couldn't resist it, I have a naturally cynical and suspicious mind, welcome to the site, I am sure that you will get plenty of help on here, there are many and diverse skills amongst us all.

                Thanks Dave yes all legal I work for who you would probably know as Chubb although it’s owned by the security giant Gunnebo now. Thanks
