Hello, I am new to this forum, and to forums full stop. I am in the process of setting up a small machine shop for fun mainly, with a view to making spacers, threaded fittings etc. etc as I need them, I have several oldish motorbikes and a yard full of old farm machinery. I know this is bigger stuff than the average model engineer, but I am sure the skills and knowledge available will be very useful!

          Hello Malcolm,

Welcome to the forum. Motorbikes and hideously complicated old farm machinery are always welcome here!

            Thanks Neil,

I have just bought a Colchester Master lathe which is more suited to what I want to do than my previous lathe, ie. bigger! I may well be looking for advice in the near future, however, I need to sell on the old Myford, how do I go about this? It is probably of interest to a model engineer.

            Malcolm.

              Hi Malcolm,

Welcome to the forum and congratulations with the Colchester. If you want to sell your Myford you could place an ad on this forum, click on Classifieds in the black band near the top, and then "Place a for sale ad".

Hello Malcolm and welcome. its always nice to hear from people with different interests, as it is from 'normal' model engineers.

Hello again, I have tried to place an ad, but it does not seem to work. I am not at all good with computers, so it is probably down to incompetence! Is there anything obvious I may be doing incorrectly?

                  Thanks,

                  Malcolm.
