Headstock cover trouble

Hi,

im still having a problem with the headstock cover, is rubbing the spindles.

you can see in the pictures that when turning there is a gap, but when pulplever to change belt it drops.

how can I adjust this.

Hi all,

the only way I was able to solve this problem was to buy a link belt so that I could shorten it to accommodate the cover not rising up and down.

don’t know why I had this problem in the first place though, still can’t figure it out and I think the belt that came with it was the correct size.
