I need to make some missing parts for a HARRISON  milling Machine .

Does anyone know of a source of parts  or even the drawings for these machines ?

I have contacted Harrison / 600 Group and they have nothing for these machines now or the drawings .

Lathes UK have no knowledge either .

I did see a post somewhere the a company DGR DESIGNS / a DENNIS RIBBONS  may have been able to supply parts or had the drawings at some point .  Any knowledge of this company ??

Any assistance would be appreciated .

A manual entitled ‘horizontal mill’ is available, which contains some details of the vertical and universal machines.

Look hard and you will find it elsewhere for no charge. It might be a starting point. Photocopy the drawings up to full size based on a known dimension and scale the rest.

There is a Harrison group at groups.io . It is more for the lathes, but its message archive is publically browsable so you could see if there has ever been discussion of milling machines there.

G&M Tools seem to have a bit of NOS Harrison stuff, so you could try them.

Put an advert in the classifieds here, and in the magazine and on homeworkshop.org . It could be like a lonely hearts one: mature milling machine owner, OHAC (own Harrison and calipers), seeks similar for mutual size comparison of interlocking parts.

I have a facsimile copy of the original Harrison operators manual for this machine. If you PM me with an email address I will scan any relevant pages you may find helpful and send them to you, but you will have to be a little patient as I am very pushed this week preparing for a hospital admission early next week and I have no idea what sort of condition I will be in after the operation or how long the recuperation might take.

Is it the same as this one?

If it is, there may be no need to scan it.
