Probably will be once some sicko tampers with the sweets then gives them to some unsuspecting child .

Thirty or so years ago some persons in the States started to give "trick or treaters" LSD tabs as sweets. I only wish ……….

Why do we have to have Halloween and Fireworks nights? I suppose the retailers have to make money.

Would love to set up the 30Kv transformer with a Jacobs ladder, sparks up to 18" across but it could be construed as dangerous and would wipe out the tvs, computers and mobiles for miles around, might get a video projector and start screening real gory movies on the wall next to our house complete with blood curdling screams! all to amuse the little darlings, bring back November 5th and £1-00 pounds worth of penny bangers ( 240 of them ) then you could Really upset the neighbours.

A couple of garden irrigation sprinklers, solenoid control valve set to 10 seconds “ON” time, connect to the doorbell.

Magic.

Especially with a “No Trick or Treat” notice on the door.
They push the doorbell _then_ read notice while they get wet.

I must have brushed against a bush today and when I got home I noticed my right arm was covered with a couple of dozen of horrible-looking bugs!

Only one knock on the door tonight ,and i ignored it .  Looking out from an upstairs window, a crowd of kids had a carrier bag EACH ,  loaded with sweets , or they'd been  chestnutting

Razor blades inserted into apples was the big fear in the US when I lived there years ago. Hurts to just think about it. Kids these days would probably just pelt apples back at you if you tried to palm them off with them instead of "candy".

I got bitten to bits on my arms by the Blandford fly, took revenge with propane torch on full throttle, seemed to sort the problem out. It took a good few days for the lumps and bumps from the bites to go down. They are vicious little b******s.

we left a bowl of candy on the front steps (as we have done the last few years) with 2 lit pumpkins. We get back and the bowl still has most of the candy in it.

You miserable lot!

Had the usual halloween mass visit from the local kids all dressed up in the most scary costumes and accompanied by an adult. Bought them off, as usual, by handing out sweeties from a box bought in readiness for the occasion. They enjoyed it, we enjoyed it – where is the harm in that?
