      Hello,

My father had various machinery, collected over the years and unfortunately the time has come to let it all go.

I'm after some guidance on values of said machines. None of it is "tested" as most has been unused for a few years now, which I appreciate has a detrimental effect on it's value.

Ultimately I'd like everything to go to a good home but equally I don't want to give it away. My Mum is still here after all and it would be nice for her to see some of the benefit.

      So, here goes;

      – Myford ML7-R.

      – Elliott 00.

      – Clarkson Tool and Cutter Grinder.

      – Emco Compact 5 CNC.

      More to follow..

      All advice will be helpful

      All the best

      Ollie

It is totally impossible to put any sort of meaningful value on the machines, without clear photographs.

One man's 'as new' Myford is another man's boat anchor.

I hope there is a location to follow.smiley

It may help those interested, particularly for the larger items.

Hello, the items are in Luton Bedfordshire. If anyone is interested I am happy to email photos if you send me a message.

I would like valuation on items, even if it is just ballpark figures.

                  Ollie,

The Elliot 00 is quite a desirable machine for those with the space and a good workshop floor! Even if it's a fairly rough one it should fetch around £800 in a private sale if it's reasonably accessible for 'extraction' and especially if it comes with its tooling, vice etc. If you get a dealer in to clear they might give you £50 for it!

                  Paul.

How fast do you want them moving on? Patience can often net you an extra bit of cash at the cost of having your garage full of old machinery.

Another significant price changer is access. If your garage rolls right onto the road on a flat concrete drive then fantastic. If you have the ability and will to stick them on a pallet for delivery then you can sell to even more people. Opposite way around it the shed was built around the machines (looking at the mill in particular here) or if its in a basement then it takes a more enthusiastic buyer to come along and fish it out

I'm in no great rush to sell but equally don't want everything sat here this time next year. I'd rather things go to a good home to be used privately by model makers.

The machines are dotted around various workshops in the garden however I'll move everything to the front garage with driveway in front before any collection. I can probably borrow a telehandler to help with loading but I don't really want to be putting anything on pallets for couriers to take away.

Watch ebay for a week or two, include sold items in your advanced searches. Ignore any silly 'buy it now' inflated prices, some of those sit for six months before reality takes over.

Only the Elliot will be hard to find.

You are situated in prime buying position, as said, sell privately, on this ME site at a price you are happy with.

You have to do something awfully bad to those machines for them not to be worth lots of money !

Thanks for all the help so far. Lot's of PM's too detailing specifics about different machines.
