About 1-½ years ago I came across the most brilliant animated-graphic video on YouTube fully illustrating and describing step-by-step the manufacture of commercial gear-hobs. I vaguely recall that it was Russian. Wouldn't you know it, went to find it but vanished! Deleted from YouTube it seems. Might anyone recall it but better yet, have kept a copy or else may know where else it might be located on-line?

      All help appreciated.

Like most electronic storage mechanisms, YT is at best a temporary repository for information. Foe anything that is really important to you, it is worth making your own back up. Please look up youtube-dl , a well-specified open source program that might eliminate the unnecessary overuse of your exclamation mark key.

Anything on the net is temporary, look at the Yahoo disaster as a good example

Probably a few thousand years of collective human effort got lost with that debacle

Look at Wiki, which used to be amazingly interesting and has now been edited into the ground by a cabal of crazies

So if you find something good on the netty, enjoy it while it lasts because it won't last

I had a little gambling site on the net many years ago and on the last day of his presidency George Bush signed off the anti internet gambling bill and that was me locked out forever more, Ady the international criminal with the DoJ crawling over his tiny 40MB site

Its a funny old world and the internet is no exception
