The TOS mill has power feeds and rapids,
I raised the table under power to cut the teeth,………………….Then used the "rapid" to lower the table to then set it for the next tooth, no arm ache at all !
The smaller gears for the 6" Burrell were cut on an Elliott U2 mill (no rapids), Power up and hand crank down, I calculated on a 95 tooth gear that I cranked the table down approx 2000 turns on the handle !!
Then I decided to use the TOS mill !
