      Hi.I am in the process of rebuiding a 2 inch scale steam lorry.I find that i have problems (old age) firing with coal and feel it would be a lot easyier if i used gas.Has anyone any information , literature or ideas please. I will gladly refund any expense incured.Also any information on fitting a dog clutch.

          There is a thread here ‘scale live steam locomotives’ that is discussing gas firing, my ‘Brit Lookalike’ seems to run well under Propane, despite the additional cost. Look under ‘Marty Type’ burners (U.S.A.) for some interesting details, or contact me, I may have some ideas.
