I am about to commence Minnie and want to make it gas fired boiler instead of coal.

If I keep the same boiler size but use the same design as used for the gas fired boiler for "Eric" in "Rails in the garden", would this work.

Is there any reference available for substituting gas fired boilers from original coal fired designs.

      Thanks – Nick

Lots of possible answers to your question but a very simple one would be to use Minnie boiler as is and fill lower part of firebox with refractory chips and just point gas burner in and down through firehole door .

Works brilliantly on a Tich which is roughly same size boiler as Minnie .
