Help required to identify this gas engine which has arrived at Bolton Steam Museum ( http://www.nmes.org ). The engine is an abandoned retoration project, which unfortunately has quite a few parts missing.
We would obviously like to get the drawings for this engine, if anyone can identify it, inorder to rebuild properly.
          Many thanks in anticipation.
          See attached photographs.

          Flywheels 9.75" O.D
          Cylinder 6.75" long
          Piston 2.25" nominal
          Stroke 3.2"
Sprocket on crank shaft has 8 teeth and gearwheel has 10 teeth.

          Thanks Dennis

Could be one on many "small power" engines that were about in the early part of the last centry either offered as ready to run or in kit form and usually several HP ratings of each. Sprocket suggests it used a magneto.

You may have more luck asking on a stationary engine forum.

I am on this Forum and there will be somebody that can help, just be aware that you may get a load of "experts" giving there views before the right answer comes along. I personally dont what it is as I'm a Lister collector.
