Free Cutting Steel Plate suppliers

Can anyone suggest a supplier in the uk where I can get some free cutting steel plate from, I'm looking for 5mm thick plate, ive tried the internet and ebay but most suppliers seem to be in USA, cant find any UK suppliers

I can find a few local steel stock holders within a few miles who stock 4mm thick, cut to any size I wish, just look in local directory, or on the Internet. Junction 28 M1 area.

The sizes I'm looking for are 160x160x4mm thick, thanks for your replies

Have you thought about getting it cut from a 250mm dia blank?

This is one of those cases where e-bay will be better than the ME suppliers, just put "4mm steel sheet" into e-bay and you will get the choice of cut to size, buying a nominal size eg 200×200 or find an offcut from a laser cutters or steel fabricators.

If all your ebay results are in the US are you using e-bay .com, try using e-bay.co.uk instead
